| Student Entertainment and Essential Information Sports ..........There are a wide variety of sports on offer for all tastes either through the College or independently. There are a large number of local sports centres that offer special student rates, they include such activities as, fitness training, squash, badminton and swimming. Bournemouth has a number of highly regarded golf courses that are open to the public where equipment can be hired or purchased. Horse riding is available in the New Forest, whilst in the town centre ten-pin bowling is always popular as an evening class activity. (N.B. A fee for many activities will be charged).

Leisure ..........As one of the countries most popular holiday destinations Bournemouth has all the facilities that one would expect of a holiday resort. There is a wide array of music, including internationally famous club DJs, .the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and live concerts from artists from both the UK and world music. An Excellent choice .of .pubs, clubs, restaurants and cinemas. |
Excursions ../..........We at Bournemouth Academy organize student events throughout the year in pubs, places of interest in and around Bournemouth, bowling nights, swimming and volleyball events on the beach. .We also work together with a specialist student travel company (UK Study), who organize trips and excursions around the UK (Scotland, London, Champions League football) and Europe (Paris, Bruxelles) for students from many school in the Bournemouth area. (N.B. All fees for excursions are not included in our course fee). |
